My name is Sarah Clark and I live in Melbourne, Australia.
Ever since I was a kid myself, I’ve had a passion to spread the Word of God and make a difference in the world around me. As a child, I tried to make a difference in my school by starting a lunch time prayer group, with about 10-20 kids at my little country school. I started serving in kids ministry when I was about 16, under a great leader who was the first person to really show that she believed in me.
After high school, I moved to Melbourne and did an internship at one of the large city churches. I then moved into full time volunteer kids ministry, while working in before and after school care around my volunteer hours. The team I worked with developed a lot of multimedia resources and a children’s curriculum that was sold to churches around the world.
After a few years, I was invited to join the church staff team part time, and was also offered a part time position as the national administrator for a major kids ministry movement and conference in Australia. So between those two jobs and my extra volunteer hours, I was loving being able to work in ministry and connect with leaders all around the world.
Meanwhile, I had started my own business doing freelance graphic design to help cover my expenses, so that I was able to give more time to the church.
A few years down the track, and my life completely changed. I’m now married and have a beautiful little boy who has become my full time ministry. I’ve moved on from the churches and jobs I worked at and am leading the children’s ministry at a small church in my local town.
After working in massive churches and childcare centres, managing large teams, training staff and leaders, and looking after hundreds of kids, I have found myself leading a group of 5-15 kids on a Sunday, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.
I’ve been a part of big and small churches and have learnt a lot along the way, and I hope that through this blog, I can pass on some of the things I’ve learnt and am still learning.
