Thinking outside the box: Cadbury Makes Its Google+ Page Out of Chocolate

I love seeing new ideas and found this to be some creative inspiration worth sharing.
Cadbury has created a chocolate version of its Google+ page to celebrate the 500,000 fans on its page.

The delicious replica was created using layers of Cadbury Dream and Dairy Milk chocolate poured over a base of Dairy Milk bars.
Edible inks were printed onto sugar paper to create the Page’s buttons and photos of fans, and were pasted onto the chocolate base using liquid Dairy Milk as glue.
I love this idea… Imagine the joy of whoever gets …

Creative Inspiration: A LEGO-Inspired Church

Talk about creativity… a Dutch design firm has used large LEGO-inspired concrete blocks and painted them different colours to construct a 20 metre high church that appears to be made out of LEGO!
According to the creators, the pavilion “makes a connection between something grand and overwhelming (the church and its size) and something playful, simple and comprehensible (LEGO)”.
You can check out more photos and information about this creative idea at inhabitat and designtaxi.

Free retro technology posters

I stumbled across these very creative posters from http://www.maximidiavintageads.com/ and just had to share them!
They have looked at the technology that we now take for granted and promoted them through the perspective and style of a 1960s vintage advertisement.
Facebook- “A comprehensive, economical, superb new communications tool that’s perfect for modern living.”
Skype- “it’s a veritable audio-visual miracle that will put you in contact with a brand new world.”
Twitter- “A virtual locality with a wide assortment of people.”
Youtube- “The most charming and magnificent way to entertain the whole family”

Getting Creative with God

So I’ve been reading a whole lot of articles lately about improving or finding your creativity, and it got me thinking about how much of that we can apply to creativity in ministry, and how much we need to believe for more than what the world expects.
I remember when I created the artwork for the Kidshaper Sound brochure several years ago, it was the first time ever that I created something through more than just my own strength. Sure, it took a lot of adjustments, planning, redesigning and guidance from …

Unlocking Your Creativity

This week as I have been working on some new design projects, I have been faced with something that many of us are faced with… creative block! Sometimes it’s hard to get that initial idea or picture that gets the ball rolling. So how can we tune our minds to unlock those creative ideas that are just waiting inside our heads?
There’s a great article here about how to follow the example of young children who aren’t discouraged when they don’t succeed straight away. Sometimes we need to step out and …
